The Virginia Manufacturers Association (VMA) has brought together experts from both private industry and state & federal government, including Climate Change expert Tom Mullikin, Dr. David Schnare of the Thomas Jefferson Institute. The luncheon on September 17th will be packed with information from Virginia DEQ Director David Paylor,EPA Region III administrator Shawn Garvin and Headliner Ted Narozny of Lipton, who has achieved zero-landfill status at his Suffolk plant. The VA Department of Environmental Quality will provide regulatory updates on a variety of critical business issues and has co-located a Virginia Environmental Excellence Program (VEEP) workshop specific for industry.
Virginia’s industrial winners of the 2010 Governor’s Environmental Excellence Awards will be honored during the Environmental Leadership Reception on September 16th, at which time the Commonwealth’s Secretary of Natural Resources, Doug Domenech, will speak.
